Internet Marketing – Using RSS Feeds In Your Business
Have you ever heard of the term “RSS 2.0”? This is something that I heard of about 5 months ago, and with the sound of it, it seems like it will take the internet by storm. Now part of me thinks that this will be one of those “internet fads” that will come and go, but this is looking like it has some promise.
RSS 2.0 is about taking your blog’s or website’s RSS feed and submitting them to the RSS directories, and also promoting them on your website or blog. The more people who use your RSS feed, the more traffic you will get, and the more sales you will get as a result of it.
But to get started with RSS feeds and RSS marketing, there are some preliminary things that you will want to do first before you start marketing your feed. The first thing you need to focus on is a niche. Yes, this goes back to the classical days of offline marketing and finding a hot niche that has a problem, and you coming through with the perfect solution.
You need to find a niche because the purpose of your RSS feed should be to get your content distributed out there, for the purpose of helping you make money with your blog or website. So niche selection is key here, and you will have to do your own research first before you decide to hop into a niche.
Okay so once you’ve found a niche that can be profitable, it’s time to come up with a blog or website. If you’re not tech savvy, I think you should start off with a simple blog. The simplest way to get a job on the internet is via a service called Blogger.com. Blogger is free and is very good at delivering high quality blogs that you can monetize in only a short period of time.
After you’ve started your blog and have decided on which niche you want to enter into, it’s time to start marketing. The first thing that you will want to do is submit your RSS feeds into the RSS directories. One good directory that I know of that has plenty of users is a site called “Feedcat.net”.
You will get a lot of people looking for content that they can use on their site, and will even have your RSS feed submitting content on a daily basis automatically – thereby giving you tremendous exposure for your work. And you should be happy about that, because this is website promotion for free.
The more of these RSS directories that you can find, the better. You want to make your blog or website known, and get people to host your content onto their website – so that you can get more visits back to your website. This is the easiest way to start getting traffic all by using RSS feeds.
Take these tips and use them to start using RSS marketing in your business today. The sooner you get started, the sooner you will start getting traffic on a daily basis from this technique. So get on the ball today and start using RSS feeds now.
Good luck with using RSS feeds in your business today.
